VIEWING ROOM / POèME EN BOULE
28.07.2026
In a previous exhibition, I pasted a poem directly onto the wall. When the exhibition ended, I removed it letter by letter, treating each fragment as material rather than message. I am drawn to working with the written word, not as a fixed form, but as something that can shift, recur, and reappear without a predetermined method. Without fully knowing why, I felt compelled to reuse this same poem across different exhibitions. The words remain identical, yet their form changes each time, creating a quiet continuity—a thread that connects otherwise separate moments and spaces. In this iteration, I transformed the recovered letters into a compact, crumpled ball. The text becomes unreadable, collapsing meaning into form. The poem no longer communicates through language but through its physical presence. For reference, I printed the original text on a label attached to the piece, preserving its legibility outside the object itself.
I titled this work Poème en boule (“Ball poem”).

** POEM
Some days I feel invisible,
I feel like I’m going to dissolve
I feel like I’m going to dissolve
into fear, sadness and anxiety.
On those days I make pictures,
no more doubt, no more questions,
no more doubt, no more questions,
just the moment, peace and tranquility.
