Welcome to the viewing room.
This space was created as an alternative to social media — a quieter, more personal way to experience my work. A place you choose to enter, take your time, and leave whenever you wish.
Unlike the unpredictability of an algorithm, this viewing room is intentional, carefully curated, and shared with you directly.
Today, I’m happy to present these works to you exclusively.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Within walking distance
With images showing found objects and sculptural situations, Brussels based photographer, Sven Laurent is blurring the boundaries of what is and is not a work of art, inviting the viewer to question his own sense of aesthetics and the way he is looking at his environment.

/ the work /
Beyond its formal representation, my work is exploring the perception of materiality, value and legitimacy in contemporary art.

/ the process /
Taken during daily walks part of a long physical rehabilitation process, these images document a series of ‘sculptural situations’ found in public space.

/ the form /
I have always been attracted to the intimacy of small formats. The physical proximity with these small formats transforms the banality of the photographed subjects into intimate moments of comfort and reflection.
